Welcoming an Auspicious Year of the Earth Dog

As a welcome to the Year of the Earth Dog, we here at Heart Teachings hope to inspire your practice by offering “Warm Blessings of the Dakini.” Lama Tharchin Rinpoche gave this teaching, with Ngawang Zangpo translating, at Open Secret Bookstore in San Rafael, California, in September 2008 accompanying Rinpoche’s bestowal of the reading transmission of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche’s "Abbreviated Quintessential Daily Practice of the Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal." As Lama Tharchin Rinpoche described this teaching, according to the Vajrayana view, the Dakini’s activities, the feminine enlightened aspect, are especially effective as Dakinis represent wisdom. These practices are easy to accomplish and siddhi attainments are quickly received. While there are many different aspects of the Dakini, here Rinpoche talks about the practical level: how we can make a connection to the Dakini to awaken our own innate primordial wisdom. As Lama Tharchin Rinpoche said, “We can receive the blessings through Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, getting the result through the warm blessings of the Dakini.” We wish you all a year full of warm and plentiful blessings!
