Tröma Nagmo (the Wrathful Black Mother) is a Wisdom Dakini practice from the great twentieth-century treasure revealer Dudjom Lingpa’s Chӧnyi Namkhai Long Dzӧd cycle. It is the most profound of all the chӧd practices since it brings the highest view of Dzogchen Great Perfection to the practice of cutting through the root of dualism, the cause of our suffering within samsara.

During Dudjom Lingpa’s lifetime, thirteen of his close disciples attained rainbow body (the dissolution of the body's elements into light), and there has been at least one practitioner who recently attained rainbow body through this profound treasure. One thousand have achieved the level of awareness holder, and countless others have achieved the goal of enlightenment through this practice. It is of particular importance for our time. Tibetans have always turned to Tröma practice during difficult times as it brings positive energy and well-being to the planet and its beings, blessing any place this practice is done.

Lama Tharchin Rinpoche gives detailed commentary on the Trӧ-Chung (Short Tröma Sadhana & Tsok) text compiled by Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche’s heart son. Along with the medium-length Tröma Nagmo (Trӧ-dring), this is our main Tröma practice for the Vajrayana Foundation sangha.
